The HBA Mid-Atlantic Chapter kicked off its 2010 programming with a provocative and impeccably-timed discussion on national health care reform.

The most recent edition (March 2010) of the Philadelphia Business Journal spotlights the top 25 business networking associations/ groups. HBA - GP ranks 8 based on membership size.

Mark Swindell, President of Pfizer Vaccines named HBA’s 2010 Honorable Mentor and Charlene Prounis, Founder and Managing Partner of Flashpoint Medica, named HBA’s 2010 Star Volunteer. Both will be formally recognized at the 21st annual “Woman of the Year” (WOTY) Luncheon on Thursday, May 6, 2010 – the premier event of the year for the healthcare community attended by over 2,000 industry leaders.

“Nothing is impossible. You can make things happen!” declared Barbara Weber as she recounted the inspirations and achievements that propelled her to become the Global Head of Novartis Oncology Translational Medicine.

HBA’s mission is to further the advancement and impact of women in healthcare worldwide. This is accomplished in numerous ways including two new offerings: a job board and the Women in Transition Affinity group.

The Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA) today announced that its 2010 “Woman of the Year” is Deirdre P. Connelly, president of North America Pharmaceuticals for GlaxoSmithKline.

Chicago HBA members kicked off the 2010 calendar year with an interactive discussion on the impact of Healthcare Reform Legislation.

On June 28, 2010 the Metro Chapter of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association will be hosting their 1st Annual HBA Metro Chapter Charity Golf Tournament at Architects Golf Club in Phillipsburg, NJ.  This philanthropic event is an opportunity for the HBA Metro Chapter to “give back” to the community it serves.
