The HBA Career Center offers two levels of job postings. The first is to post only to the HBA site and that offers access to the nearly 700 resumes in our database. The second level is the network level. The HBA is a part of the National Healthcare Network, a group of 220 associations with career centers. This option allows employers access to a database of nearly 58,000 resumes.

Currently two chapters: Metro (NY, NJ, CT) and Greater Philadelphia (PA and South Jersey) are holding special membership incentives.

The RTP chapter event entitled “Linking Community Service to Professional Development” opened with a rush of members and guests who clamored to the tables bringing professional suits, accessories and more for Dress for Success, a non-profit organization aimed at helping women access appropriate wardrobes for interviewing.

Each year the HBA chapters and affiliates hold an annual business meeting in the last quarter of the year.  During this meeting, chapter leaders share the accomplishments of the year, plan for the following year and HBA members elect chapter leadership.

In an ongoing effort to show the appreciation for the extraordinary efforts of the Boston Chapter’s volunteer leaders, they have instituted the volunteer award. Here are the latest award winners.

A group of talented businesswomen led by Lynda McDermott, President,  EquiPro International, is forming a new HBA Affiliate for Florida.   Volunteer leaders from the Tampa Bay and Orlando area have a goal of  making a difference for career minded professional businesswomen in  Florida where the healthcare industry is thriving.
