HBA Atlanta is pleased to announce the addition of Brittany Evans to the chapter board as chapter operations director. The Board provides leadership to advancing HBA’s purpose of the further advancement and impact of women in the business of healthcare. Brittany brings deep experience to the position. Her career in public health and leadership in the healthcare community make her the perfect fit for the role. She is currently the manager of program and research of Urban Health Initiative for Emory University School of Medicine. In her role, Brittany works with the Health Careers Academy, Interprofessional Development course, tobacco cessation program, assists with operations, budget and events engagement facilitate positive impact for patients in the local community. She’s also the founder of WellStart Initiatives, an organization dedicated to the development and implementation of strategies that will decrease health disparities. An active member of the HBA since 2014, she served as the sub-committee lead of new member orientation and radical hospitality and is a former participant in the HBA Atlanta Mentoring Program. Brittany is also engaged in the community as vice president of DeKalb’s Men’s Health Task Force and member of Minority Health Connection, Live Healthy DeKalb Coalition and Clayton State University’s Young Alumni Council.
