Meet HBA Dallas-Fort Worth President Jennifer Whipkey

Jennifer, what is your current role, professionally and with the HBA?
I am currently a field-based marketer for Regeneron Oncology. I work with HCP thought leaders that treat cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma. This includes HCPs across dermatology, MOHs surgeons, H&N med oncologist, H&N surgeons and radiation oncologists that all work together to identify appropriate patients for systemic treatment. I have done various field-based marketing roles for more than eight years. My current role with the HBA is as the HBA Dallas-Fort Worth president for the last year and a half.

How did you begin your career in healthcare?
I started with Novartis as a sales representative in 1997 launching their first product, Diovan, for hypertension. I moved into various roles of greater responsibilities over my 22 years there. I gained experience in sales management, sales training, marketing and oncology leadership. I capitalized on these experiences to move into strategy and business development and I am now in a field-based marketing role.

What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about helping people develop and reach their goals. I try to stretch people out of their comfort zone to see new ways they can utilize their strengths and skills. If there is a challenge, I take it on with enthusiasm to exceed other's expectations.

Why join the HBA?
The HBA provides valuable opportunities for development both personally and professionally, where you can create opportunities that are mutually beneficial. You can volunteer a little or a lot - you get out, what you put in, exponentially and the recognition is plentiful. Why not join the HBA?

A note from the chapter:

Jennifer’s dedication to the success of the chapter and to the growth of the members is extraordinary. She is committed to seeing that each member of HBA Dallas-Forth Worth has an opportunity for leadership within the HBA and can transfer those skills into their professional career. We are tremendously fortunate to have Jennifer as our leader.
